  1. Well no not really like a rattling more like a chichi chichi sound I guess kind of like a squeaking
  2. I have to turn off the radio to be able to hear it, it's not super loud it's just more noticeable than normal, when I'm going downhill its holding the cars speed back so it don't go to fast downhill that's when I get that soft (I guess I should say humming sound) i can hit the gas to try an get it to kick into gear i have to press the gas quite a bit an it vrooms an then kicks into gear, then if im just sitting still if I roll the window I can hear a rattling noice now an it sounds more at the passenger front outside.
  3. Checked transmission fluid it's good. Where would I check the ptu/rdu fluids? Also do you think maybe my rpm could be messed up? The sound is the sound when the rpm goes up but the needle doesn't really move a big amount but it sounds like it does only when going down hill or pushing the gas.
  4. I've took it to see if any codes will show up but they won't check them unless the check engine light is on. It's mainly when going downhill, sometimes when it's going into a different gear on a flat road doesn't really make that sound but just loud when switching gears on flat surface. It's like its holding itself back. I have not checked the fluids, I will do that, brakes are good, it is a AWD and 131,000 miles.
  5. After taking my edge to the garage several times with it overheating and replacing several different things, I finally broke down an bought a manufactured ford fan assembly, before I replaced it my edge was driving rough rpm very high an very loud brakes wasn't working good would squill when I turned sharp. Which my manual does say that it would start shutting things down. When I took it the ford place to get a diagnostic my check engine light had never came on, when I picked my car up after diagnostic my check engine light was on it was reading 2 codes cooling fan relay 1 control circuit, and intake air temp sensor circuit high input. But then the next day the check engine light went back off. I ordered the ford fan put it on flushed coolant and put new coolant back in. It's not overheating now and is definitely not running as rough an loud like it was but it just doesn't seem like it's all the way back to driving normal, it seems loud to me an like it has alot of power, before it just seemed quite and smooth like. Now when I'm going down a hill it feels an sounds like if I was driving a manual and say I'm in 2 gear an it's needing to be shift to third, it almost sounds like a winding I guess. I'm sorry I know this is a long post but just giving all the info, any ideas on why it's like that? Or should I even be worried about it?
  6. I had replaced my fan assembly so went ahead and flushed my coolant and put new in.
  7. I went to my local ford dealership they had the pre diluted for $13.00, I was certainly surprised that it was that cheap there.
  8. Where can I buy motorcraft premium gold 50/50? Or what can I buy that will work in its place?
