  1. So when I got home, I performed a master reset, then attempted to connect my tablet, which linked up no problem. Tried my phone again and this time it took quickly and easily, and has reconnected on its own throughout the night when I've tested. The night before the issue first happened, I did install a Google push update on my phone (old-skool Nexus 5). But if anybody has a similar issue, delete the phone, connect a different device, then re-pair the phone. Should solve it.
  2. My phone isn't having problems with my bluetooth speakers, my home theatre, or anything else, and I've tried powering it off and on again. I suspect a hardware problem with the car itself, because the screen that shows the 6 digit pair code is only up for a second before popping up the connection failed box. To be safe, I've got another phone I can try and I'll let you know. I'll also snap some video of what its doing when I try to pair.
  3. I'm having a problem with my sync system and its driving me nuts. Everything was working great up till this past weekend. I came out of the grocery store, and when sync tried to autoconnect to my phone, it just sat there trying to connect but nothing would happen. So I deleted my phone and tried to re-pair it from scratch, but my phone couldn't see sync and sync couldn't see my phone. When I tried to go in later to pair my phone, the screen that comes up with the pairing code would only be visible for less than a second before a "No devices found" box would appear, so I don't even have time to push the button to pair manually. A master reset at least got that screen to show up again, but it still can't see my phone. I've tried downloading the latest sync updates, because mine is badly out of date, but when I unzip the EA5T-14D544-AD file, I get a checksum error near the end of the decompression. Anybody have any advice for me?
  4. I think you're close. Consider me another soldier on this battlefield. I'm not a mechanic but I am a longtime weekend warrior. I have no problem digging into my dash and steering column. I'll do a little work on my car and see what I can find.
  5. I'd like to know if anybody has tried installing the Sport paddle shifters in an SEL/Limited model? From looking at parts diagrams, it seems it would just be the steering wheel and the shifters themselves. Steering wheel trim and the rest of the buttons would all be there. Seems the only real question would be whether the wiring is there to plug in the paddles. I assume it would be. Anybody else looked into this?
  6. I'm going to closely look at both these, they both look fantastic. Thanks for the heads up guys! Mine came with the weathertech cargo area tray, and I've ordered the front set. The back seat is for my dogs (not married and no kids *highfive*) so I picked up a nice rear seat liner/hammock/cover thing off Amazon.
  7. I actually traded a 2011 Sierra Crew Cab 4x4 on my Edge. That was too much space. Thanks man, it helps that the Mustang had it all to herself as my Sierra didn't fit, and she never ventured out in the rain. Will change a bit now as the Edge fits just fine! As a side note, the Ford rear bumper step applique BT4Z-17B807-A, is that a hard plastic cover, or is it just a soft decal-type sticker? It's really hard to tell from the photos. I'd prefer something hard plastic or metal. I have dogs jumping in and out back there.
  8. It's AWD, and I don't have any photos of the Edge yet, as the weather's been a slushy, sloppy mess so it was filthy by the time I made it off the lot, but here's a couple shots of my Mustang:
  9. I just picked up a new-to-me 2013 Edge SEL. It's got leather, nav, etc. Absolutely love it. My summer/weekend ride is a 2014 Mustang GT Track Pack that I factory ordered a couple years ago. I'm going to test fit the factory 19" wheels on my Edge, as by the numbers they should fit nicely. That's really my only plan as far as mods go, as that's what the Mustang is for.
