  1. I figure I could use a normal auto DRL harness with 3157 sockets to power the front turn signals. These DRL harnesses usually have a dim and turn signal function, I could connect the turn signal function to the stock wiring. Anything I'm not considering that would not let this work? If it did the stock wiring would be kept intact and I could buy a separate harness for the vertical LEDs or new aftermarket DRLs to replace them.
  2. Hi guys, anyone know of an aftermarket harness to make the front turn signals DRLs? I wanted to have the front turn signals activated as DRLs as I have heard others have done in the US but the dealers here either can't or won't. My idea was to activate them as DRLs and use that signal to drive the OEM vertical LEDs as DRLs also, mostly for looks. Here is what I would like the aftermarket harness or controller to do: 1) Run the front turn signals as DRLs anytime the Edge is running 2) Have an off switch for when I don't want any lights on 3) Maintain the blinker function with headlights on or off 4)A second harness to setup the vertical LEDs are DRLs as well, while maintaining the courtesy lights Does anyone know of a harness/controller or a different way that will let me do this?
  3. Well I got the stains removed at the local car wash detail place. They used some sort of rubbing compound gel that removed the stains by hand pretty easily. I couldnt get a look at the bottle label. Once home I went over them with the chrome polisher and scratch/swirl remover. They look very good now. Anyone know how to remove scratches from the black center console? I tried the scratch/swirl remover but it only removed the very small ones.
  4. I used a microfiber cloth and mothers chrome polish. It definitely removed the darkness of the stains but not the stains themselves. In this pics you can see the difference, although in person the stains are still noticeable, just much lighter. Appearance improves after a second pass. Im going to try a very small pad on a drill on slow speed to see if that helps remove them better. I may also drop by autozone and see if they have something better for chrome. There was no black residue on the cloth which I read happens on SS, so I'm guessing this is actual chrome or anodized aluminum. Any thoughts?

  6. Here are some pictures of the stains. Even though I took them with my phone this is how the stains look in person. Looks like a chemical dripped down from windows. The manual says to use "Motorcraft Custom Bright Metal Cleaner" for exterior chrome. I guess I'll try a Chrome cleaner on a small corner spot of the trim to see if it works. Any ideas?
  7. How does the auto-reconnect work exactly? First time I tried the BT pairing at the dealer I connected my phone, after that it always reconnects automatically when I start the Edge and my phones BT is on. It did that even with the Sync 3.5 version
  8. I'm using android 4.4.4 with no issues. What are some 3.8 update features that were not in 3.7 or vice versa? I could use that info to ID the actual version I have running. thanks,
  9. I just updated from 3.5 to 3.8 yesterday on a 2013 Edge. Had no issues during or after, only took about 30 mins. The only weird thing is that I downloaded 3.8 from the Ford Sync site and my update history also shows 3.8, but the installation confirmation on my display said 3.7.
  10. I just bought a 2013 Edge with chrome window sills trim from factory. Trouble is they are stained. I wanted to ask what the chrome is made of and can I use some chrome or wheel polish to remove the stains. The stains are like darkened spots of something that dripped down from the windows. I'll get some pictures tomorrow.
