  1. I did RTFM. Says that disabling Autolocks must be done by the dealer. As far as the unlocking the manual is not very clear. I am an engineer and have a lot of experience with user interfaces.

So far Ford's implementation of IA is very convoluted. Other vehicles that use IA are so much simpler. What is the point of the IA FOB if I still need to touch something in order for it to work. I've been in rental cars that have this feature and works as I would expect.

I would not recommend any one purchase a Ford with the IA feature. Doesn't really add any value. The car itself is fine.

  2. New 205 EDGE. Trying to make some things work.

1 - Tried to disable AUTOLOCK. Followed procedures found on internet. Alas nothing works.

2 - I was told by the dealer that the car will unlock or lock automatically as soon as FOB is in/out of range. Doesn't work. Have to always use FOB or lock prior to closing doors. This defeats the purpose of IA.

3 - Placing hand in lock activates lock, but doesn't operate consistently. Some time it locks, sometime it unlocks.

    Any ideas/suggestions are very welcomed.

  3. 2015 SEL. I have tried to no avail to set up the locks to activate automatically when walking away from the car. Appears the only way to lock the doors is with the key fob.

Considering all the features on this car I don't know why this won't work. BTW, the owners manual is practically useless. BY far the worst I've ever encountered.

    Any help will be appreciated.

  4. Two different technologies. Projector uses a dedicated lens to disperse the light that is produced by halogen bulb. HID (high intensity discharge) uses XENON gas to produce a much brighter and whiter light.

Unfortunately the projectors on the FORDS are not very good. I've had cars as far back as 1995 that much better light distribution. These throw light all over the place and way to high on low beam.
