  1. So I just traded in my '15 Jeep Cherokee for the '16 Edge. Love it. The only thing I really miss is my old car hasd an aux outlet which was useful in times when the Bluetooth isn't working as I stream music and podcasts most of the time. With the Edge, it works fine but there are still times when the Bluetooth loses connection, right in the middle of a song. And I wish I could just connect my phone to the system the way I did with an aux cable. Any solutions for this? Maybe with all the USBs they've included?
  2. Seeing if anyone else has this issue. I use Spotify's app to stream music but what I've noticed is a lot of time, the a song will come on and the audio will initially start high, then after 2 secs drop down lower. I unchecked the option on the app to keep volume at some level but it still does this. I"m thinking maybe its a Spotify to SYNC compatibility issue cause I didn't have it in my last car ('15 Cherokee). Also there are times where the audio will suddenly go back up for no reason. Has anyone else noticed this?
  3. Hey everyone. Thanks for you responses. I did end up purchasing a '16 Edge SEL with the SYNC 3 and its been fine. The navigation and voice commands are actually very good.
  4. Thanks everyone. I purchased a 2016 SEL V6 non-turbo yesterday. Loove it! But thanks for the information.
  5. Thanks for your post. Just so I may understand how major a component this is, about how much does it cost to replace the turbo?
  6. Thanks again. This is helpful. I may check out a 4-cyl soon.
  7. Hi I'm shopping around for a 2016 Edge. I've had my eye on the car for years and have loved the styling. I was all set to get a 4-cyl which has more than enough power for me when I found out its a turbo-charged engine. My husband has advised to stay away and after doing some research online, it seems to be less desirable and may come with more risks, questionable reliability, etc. But I also read that many car makes are going this way. The 4 cyl is more in my price range. So is the turbo-charged engine fear hype or are there real concerns with getting one?
  8. Thanks everyone. Yes I am speaking about the regular SYNC vs SYNC 3. I do see some 2016 models still have the regular SYNC but the sales guys aren't recommending them.
  9. Hi! Newbie here and shopping around for a Ford Edge. I test drove a few 2016 models and loved them but then saw many 2015 models with all the same features but cheaper and would be willing to buy...but then I read about how dreadful the SYNC system has been, at least for older models. Everything else about the 2015 is just as nice. So how bad is the SYNC for the average 2015 owner? Do they have updates and options that are working for most people? Or would it be best to spend the extra money and get the 2016 with the SYNC 3. Note: infotainment is very important to me as I stream music and podcasts on all my commutes. Thanks!
