Do you schedule your oil changed based on milage or the oil life indication? I'm at about 6000 miles since my last oil change (the first since the car was new, used synthetic) but my oil life says 44%. I'm trying to decide if I should change it now or keep waiting?

They brought out another Edge with a 2.0 and it made the same noise. Its the injectors. You'd think a $40k vehicle wouldn't sound like there are a bunch of loose bolts rattling around in the engine compartment....

I've had this rattle since almost new, finally got around to taking it to the dealer, they say they can't hear it, and what they can hear is normal. Only happens on cold starts.
Thoughts?

Anyone here somewhat close to NH and knowledgeable about FORSCAN? I really want to get rid of the "double honk" when I close the door of my car from the outside and I have the keys in my pocket. I'll buy you lunch, or a beer, or whatever in exchange for your services.

Or using your muscles? I can't see an aftermarket item such as a power liftgate being reliable, and it can't be simple or cheap to install.

Considering how little change there is from the '16 to the '17, I doubt they are sending vehicles out for press reviews.

Looks like part of the aerodynamic cladding. I wouldn't cut it off, I would try to take the whole piece off that its attached to.

I fly a Hawker 800 for a private company, flying both company personnel, and doing external charters. It's a pretty good job, sometimes it keeps me away from home more than I'd like. But I am going to spend 4 days on a small island in the Bahamas in a very nice resort. Can't complain about that....

I have not noticed this being an issue. The visibility is quite good, with the exception of not really knowing where the front right corner of the car is, and the nose of the car is a lot shorter than I am used to. It took a while for me to stop parking 2 feet short of where I should be.

It's not really because I have to delete them…but I liked having that option in my previous vehicle.

I've had my '16 Edge for 6 months now and I can't help but really HATE the SYNC 3 system!
I was never able to make my phone properly with it and neither the dealer. Also there no easy to erase old addresses from the "Previous Adresses" menu, etc… Funny but the older SYNC in my '11 MKX was much more user friendly, my phone used to work in it and I could erase previous addresses as often as I wanted. I find it a big step backwards, not an improvement from the first generation SYNC!Claude.
Sync 3 was one of the reasons why I ended up buying the Edge. Why do you need to erase previous addresses? And what kind of phone do you have?

It's not a new thing... the Oakville plant made Aerostar and Freestar minivans starting in the mid '90s and before that I think they were making the Escort or some similar small car.
The Oakville plant opened in 1973, and started making the Custom 500.
The Hermosillo plant opened in 1988 making the Mazda 323, Mercury Tracer and Ford Escort.

So the only exterior light aside from my puddle lights that isn't LED are my front blinkers. Are there any plug and play LED bulbs that don't require installation of a separate resistor? If not, how much of a pain is it to install a LED bulb and resistor?

So they aren't offering the wiper de-icer for 2017? So there really aren't any mechanical changes from 16 to 17, just option bundles, colors, and floor mats.

Boy, it’s been a long time since I’ve logged in here, and all of a sudden I got a notification email from this thread. Glad to see it’s still going.
Since I’ve been gone, I bought this airplane with a friend of mine. Best purchase I’ve ever made. It took me and my dad to Oshkosh last year, and I’m on vacation down in the Carolinas with it right now.
