Be careful putting kayaks using the factory roof racks. The main supports are all plastic and deform under any load. Before I realized that they were all plastic and not just dress up with plastic I put the Thule Hullavator system on our 1 week old Edge. Worked great once , twice and then collapse where the plastic met the metal rail. Now since we have the investment in the Thule system we are looking to have a custom rail support made to replace this nonfunctional rack.
