  1. No progress with Forscan in regard to getting the bda to work so I tried talking to the Ford service guys. The term used there was the part needed to be 'flashed' to get it to work. This is estimated to cost about $100.00. They said it is done by connecting to a site on the internet. That is just to make the part work not install it. Not giving up yet to fix this myself.
  2. I now have Forscan and now I need to learn how to use it.
  3. I need to read up on Forscan. In the mean time I can let my hand heal after taking the bda in and out several times. It looks like I was fighting with five cats.
  4. So far I tried disconnecting the battery cable and then I tried pulling the 2 HVAC fuses. Didn't work. It still bothers me that the old seems to work but not very well when I plug it in.
  5. 2012 Ford Edge. I replaced the bda due to only hot air on the driver side. The new part didn't work so I removed it, plugged it back in to see if the arm moved at all by raising and lowering the temperature. Nothing happened. Next I plugged the old part in and it moved back and forth with the temperature change. I've heard of the need to calibrate the part but searching through the forum nothing is mentioned about a 2012 edge method of recalibrating a bda or if it is needed. This is the second new part I have tried so I am thinking I need to do something to get it to work. Both new parts can't be bad. In the mean time I have adjusted the blender door manually so I am getting by for now.
