  1. Driving my 2016 Sport today enjoying the great spring weather with my Pano open. Then the phone rings and I close my roof or should I say attempt to. It gets about 8 inches from closing and automatically starts to open. I ignore the call and pull over, attempt this again no luck. WTF, I had to hold the button and push it closed, not a happy owner right now. My Sport has less than 8K on it and should not have these types of issues. Of course calling the dealer, any experience on how I can get this fixed the first time?

  2. Installed the brightlites.com LED puddle lights today. Got to wait till tonight to see how bright they are. Also purchased a 5g 5w-20 jug of M1 with the M! filter for an upcoming oil change. $15 rebate on oil and filter combo.

Edit/Update: Wow! The LED puddle lites are >really< bright! Fantastic. Highly recommended if you want/need more illumination for entry/exit of the vehicle. My bonus license plate leds are on backorder so I'll have to wait for those but if they are as bright as the puddles, I am really looking forward to getting them installed!

+1 on the puddles... I have the same set and love them, was just out to dinner with another couple as we walked to the cars I unlocked mine then I heard my friends wife say "Honey our Audi doesn't do that" as I heard my wife snicker....

  3. Hey All,

Has anyone purchased the LED puddle and license plate bulbs from drivebright.com? I had purchased the set not too long ago and the first set of license plate bulbs began to flicker. I contacted the company and they shipped me out new ones and those worked well for about 2 weeks or so and also began to flicker. Anyone run into any issues like this? It quite annoying to say the least haha. The puddle lights work fine with no issues. Thanks!

Had the same issue within a week had a single side flickering... I also turned to Amazon as others, I purchased the following

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E6Z2D04/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Not only no flickers but very bright, looks great at night.

Hey there Titan, I honestly haven't gotten much done. The shop I'm working with was unable to source a good muffler for the rear and they told me once they find one thats going to suit the build they'll let me know. Its been a few weeks since I talked with them, the last update is they are trying to source the MRT muffler only, but haven't had any luck. I've been super busy with school and life and haven't had much time to spend on the edge. The next update will probably will be in late May when I'm done with exams and have had time to check out some other shops. I'll definitely post back if anything changes. Im calling LMS this Tuesday about some other things so I'll see what they say about an exhaust

Appreciate your desire to be the trailblazer here... Would have pulled the trigger on the MRT a longtime ago but you know how it is, always looking for something better...

  5. Duly noted, slightly disappointing though.

Will do titan01, not sure when everything will be completely done by. It'll probably take some time to get the sound right.

gjb89, good read, the poster 'ecoboosted's system does sound pretty good, they did end up quieting it down though. We'll see how bad the edge drones soon enough.

Update 12/01/17: In about 3 weeks I'll be having specifics about the system back from the shop (their exhaust guys are taking time off) total is going to be around $1000 CAD for them to do a complete cat back install. I'll post back with pics and whatnot whenever it gets finished

Hey Beezz, it has been a few months. I wanted to check in on how the exhaust work is going. Very curious on your plans and if installed what you did, how it sounds and any lessons learned?

  6. In my opinion, either way you should get a dedicated winter wheel package (18 or 19 inch), and keep the 20/21's for the other 3 seasons. Aside from that, the 21's run very nicely on all surfaces. Not too harsh, and look much better (again in my opinion).

Agree with Burrcold - I did this exact thing on my 2016 Sport with the 21 package.

Thanks! And about the puddle lights, which one did you buy? I read that you need a whole new puddle lens to change it to a white one, since it's not easy changing only the led in that puddle light
The only option i could find is this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-For-2015-Ford-Edge-Rearview-Mirror-Ground-Laser-3D-Shadow-Light-Puddle-Lamp-/112014765606with the logo "Ford" that is animated once you unlock the car

I personally purchased my puddlelights from Drive Bright, I love how they look. You can check out the youtube video on how to install. As a bonus they usually ship a pair of plate LEDs. Nice touch and great customer service.

  8. Needs to be polished, my SHO has the same black insides that look dull. This is basically swirles and scratches from wheels being scrubbed clean.

Buy one of those small buffer balls you attach to a drill, add coupound or just polish and you can get them nice and shiny again.

Be careful as you may not need something as abrasive as compound, you could try something like Chemical Guys VSS or something you can find at your local parts store such as Meguiars Ultimate Polish. Always start with the least aggressive cleaner, you can always go more abrasive.

  9. Have a consultation with a shop next week for a custom exhaust. I asked them how much just for a rear muffler delete/replacement and it was only 150 CAD installed. There is a reason why I think the MRT system is stupidly priced.

Beezz, plz post your outcome. I am also considering an exhaust change and not sure I want to pull the trigger on the MRT, cost and sound the youtube videos are not the best... I had a phone consultation with a custom shop, while informative I didn't come way feeling good. It seems most of their work is V8 centric, not any ecoboost work. If you do the install, I would be interested in what your final design was and your thoughts.

  10. Interesting enough I shopped all the sites on the web and found what I thought was the best deal. Before I pulled the trigger I called the dealership where I purchased and talked to my sales guy, wanted to give them on last shot. We discussed this during the sales process as well as with the F&I guy but the price wasn't right. I received a call back about 10 mins later and was offered a premium package with the same features as I priced on the web for $125 less than my best quote. I was honestly surprised and impressed. I guess the morale of the story give your dealer a chance to earn your business, you may be surprised.

  11. Hello all! I am considering a new exhaust for my Sport. I have researched what I can, as we all know not alot of options :-(. I am asking for any first hand experience with or even secondhand. I am very interested in opinions on the sound of the exhaust, I know it's a 6/turbo not a V8 so sound is subjective. I do not want any drone or excessive noise, but wouldn't mind being noticed (just a little) I have been looking at the MRT but the YouTube videos aren't a good judge.

    Thanks in advance.

  12. I have purchased from Lombard, either for my 08 Expedition or my 13 Super Duty, I forget which. My dealer could not come close to their pricing. Was easy to purchase. I think I needed to take a pic of the odometer to satisfy them.

I am also looking at flood for my 16 Sport. If you find it cheaper than flood, please post.

Yes, Flood is the least expensive I have found. I have a call into them requesting a bit more info. Their site looks a bit second rate compared to Lombard, although low overhead may allow the lower cost. :)

  13. Looking at purchasing an extended warranty for peace of mind... I have a quote from Lombard for 6years/100K for the Premium Care Package that I think is fair, especially when comparing with 3rd parties like Charchex. I have looked at other Ford ESP Dealers the only less than Lombard seems to be Flood but they don't offer the 0% financing which is attractive.

    A few questions -

    • Has anyone purchased an ESP from Lombard any comments?
    • Does anyone have other suggestions other than Lombard, Flood, Champion, Ziegler?

    Thank you in advance,
