  1. Well I am new to this forum but really find it helpful. Must issue this news however. I love my 2011 Ford Edge but apparently my battery was on its last legs. Bought my Edge used with low mileage in 2014 but did not know how old the battery was of course. It would not turn over the engine this morning (11/23/2016) and there was a lot of clicking sounds from under the cowling, and it was a bit slow in turning over the engine on just two occasions (without clicking sounds), just once a few months ago and once a few days ago. Of course I don't know how old the battery is though I am sure that is the problem. Well, just got home from work tonight and tried to start it again and got a lot of clicking sounds (definitely not the same sounds - these came from the power distribution box under the cowling and did not sound the same) which with my parking lights not going off would not stop for about 30 minutes, until the dashboard lights and parking lights died, well after I turned off the ignition. So right now, I am wondering if I not only need to get a new battery and get through the "reset issues" but if I will also need to pay to have my power distribution box ( and every fuse located in it -- lots of money!) replaced because they all burned out. Just because I tried to start my Edge one more time. Anyone know of any recalls for this??? Batteries die all the time and as much as I love Ford, this is a definite engineering problem!
