  1. WWWPerfA_ZN0W my Edge is a 2008. I am not sure about the climate control question. I utilized the "auto" option often but not always. So it blows when it wants to and doesn't at other times, and trust you me, I wasn't relying on the auto option then cause it was super hot. But like I said, all it takes is maybe closing the door or going over a bump for it to kick back in. I haven't checked the coolant but what would that have to do with the a/c? It hasn't had any overheating issues and the engine is super quiet so I can't say I have ever even noticed the engine fans but I did get the car in June and this is Texas so it had plenty of chance to get hot if it was going to. I also took it to Florida and back over the 4th of July weekend with no issues until the a/c blower stopped temporarily.
  2. Hey I new to this forum as well and not a female wrench wielder but understand enough to be dangerous. I have a slightly similar issue on my edge here in Texas where it isn't cold at least not today. I get a flutter and kind of a stutter like an older engine missing, all typically below 2000 rpms and when accelerating and when "cold" as in a fresh start but also when accelerating to enter freeways and such. It is just enough to make me nervous. Not looking forward to any expensive repair bills and surely will not be doing any myself. Just want to prevent any bigger issues if possible. I read through the posts above and I too wondered about fuel filters and or injection. Or is she may need a major tune up. I just bought my edge in June of 2016, used and with high miles. Any help, info or pointer will help when dealing with repairmen, please and thank you. I've also got the failed seat heater on drivers side, an a/c blower that might have a short or at least a loose connection somewhere.
  3. My A/C stopped blowing on a road trip back from Florida over 4th of July week/weekend in Texas. Talk about an unhappy camper. I still haven't taken it in to a shop because all it takes is going over a bump to get it to kick back on again. Sounds like a short to me and I know I should be concerned, but money is an issue so until I have the cash no one please give me a hard time about it. Just my two cents.
