  1. On a 93 Octane Tune (Unleashed), with the Ultimate Perf IC & Rambo Outlet/Cold pipe at 70-75 mph in 65-85 degree weather we're seeing 28-31 mpg during highway cruising

    My 29.4 was a average for a trip of 177 miles mostly highway but also backroads from NJ to PA. Last week on a 1030 mile trip from FL to NJ averaged 28.9 mpg. Could have been better if I didn’t hit traffic going through DC. I never check cruising instant mpg. On one leg from FL went 440 miles averaging 29.2 mpg with 3 gallon left in the tank that’s a realistic 500 miles on one tank of fuel.

  2. When you say you use 100 octane do just ad it to the gas in the tank. If so you dilute it with the 93. Leo use to blend 5 gallons 105/107 unlelead with 3 gallons 93 in the tank to achieve 100 plus octane. Now he uses 32 oz Race Gas additive to 3 gallons of 93 in the tank to achieve 105 octane.He May also have a custom 105 Race Tune.

  3. They are evidently missing my best on there at 13.12 @ 103.5 and I'm pretty sure chris larsen has a 12 second run under his belt.

    I'm still having a hard time believing what 037 says. pulling times that are almost a half second faster than most, with fuel and springs. Every time I ask him, all i get is "join the FB page"... which i did, and found no useful info except where it said "mods that help it run consistent"... whatever that means.

     

    there is definitely something.. weight reduction, wheels/tires, or something going on here. I mean I know SOMEONE has to be the fastest... but we're all running the same vehicle here, and 4 tenths of a second faster seems like we're not getting the full story. 4 tenths of a second on a 12/13 second car is somewhere near an additional 30-50hp. I don't think cool ambient air and a good DA is netting .4 in the 1/4. The rest of us are pulling hair out trying to get to 12's

    Leo, if you want to keep your secret a secret... by all means keep that on lock down, but don't go acting like its just gas and springs.

    Leo uses 105 octane, Lighter wheels and tires, also has 160° thermostat which is programmed into his custom tune, lowered spring, launches full throttle preload and then slips his foot off the brake. All that adds to 4 tenths. I was a Atco Saturday when he did it.

     

    April fools, he uses Nitro and his Edge has a Acid dipped body, no passenger seat or backseat, no rugs, the car is stripped out, on a custom rear drive chassis, with 17x36 16 slicks.

    Now that I know it's U...brain cramp... :doh:...I'd do it for bragging rights... :number1:

     

    Special K just brought me up to speed and if it weren't 4 a non adjustable schedule conflict I'd love 2.

     

    I'll definitely take a rain check if possible and a little more notice would help between work and an active personal life.

     

    Besides, I'd like my faithful wing man there, Special K... :hat_tip:

     

    Maybe find a track somewhere closer to between all of us...considering your coming from FL... :shift:

     

    We can at least meet at a track somewhere in VA or NC to ease your drive???

  6. Snmjim ran 12.94 at 106 on e30 tune from unleashed. H&R Springs and Dropin K&N filter.

  7. Went Brandenton for March 3 Ford Spring Break Event True Street had some Fun came in mid pack but put down a respectable three run package very consistent with about 40 minutes between runs. Next time I will have the new LMS V3 tunes for high 12 low 13! Hope to average 13.000.....

  8. Update on the cold side charge pipe!!! Looking good!! We will have the prototype in our hands soon!!!

    Guys this is the biggest perfect fitting cold inlet pipe that will fit our Sports, the pictures of the prototype are from my car, Special K will get the first, I hope to get the second.

  9. When the light turns green it is recorded on the time slip as your reaction time, the time it takes you to get a perfect start .000, the slip will show you +or - from perfect. Your car starts the timing clock when it moves across the starting beam. Reaction time is important when racing in competition but not when you are testing in Test and Tune which is not competition. Go have fun run you car in test and tune runs. Basically think of you at a stop light and go on green if you red light it doesnt matter or effect you ET.
