  1. Guys, thank you so much for all the replies.  Over the past few days I have been more diligent about unlocking as "akirby" noted and it seems better.  I guess I was misinformed on how it actually worked.  Chalk it up to no reading the manual or just making a bad assumption...

Thanks again all...  It's good to have a community like this.

  2. So i wasn't really sure where to post this but I have been having intermittent problems with my driver side touch lock and unlock on my 2016 Ford Edge Sport.  Did a search on here as well as Google and really didn't find anything of substance so I figured I would reach out to the group specifically.

Don't think there much more description that is needed other than what I have above.  I changed the key fob battery not long ago so unless I have a bad battery don't think that is the problem.

I'm open to any and all suggestions or questions if there needs to be more information on this.  I will be happy answer or provide as much info I can.

Thank you in advance for all your help.

  3. Wow, that carbon fiber wrap does look amazing! That is definitely the route I would go as well. Excellent work on the upgrade dweiss22!

Thanks revitus.. it was relatively easy to do once all the dash parts were removed. I had a custom layout done by Rvinyl. Had to get it done twice because they made it wrong the first time. But all ended well. Thanks again for the positive response.

  4. Seriously, its a "tool steel" deep well socket looking part with ribs on the inside surface. One or two good smacks with a BFH on any locking lug nut and an electric impact and your rims are mine.

The time expended to slow me down is the time it took me to reach for the "different socket" and 1-2 good hits with my BFH. 20 seconds per tire.

note: BFH is industry slang for BIg F'in Hammer

Would your technique work on this style wheel lock as well??

  5. Thank you specialk4523! I took a picture of the rear emblem on the hatch and sent it to my embroiderer to have it digitized, that way the "font" matched. Took him about a month to get the text just right. I think it was well worth the wait. I was going to have the rear headrests done too but apparently those are glued together and he didn't feel comfortable taking those apart.

Love the headrests. Who's is your embroiderer? Looking to get this done as well.. Would you mind giving me the cost or at least a ballpark trying to understand what it will set me back. Thanks.

  6. Ok, I realize this may be a rather unique request but I am looking to swap out my 2016 Sport seats for the 2016 SEL seats. Looking for them to have the following features:

    - Black Leather

    - Multi position Power Seats

    - Heated Seats

    - Front driver, passenger and rear seats.

    - Total swap out

I want to keep the year and options as close as possible to allow for a direct swap out.

My reasoning is, the only thing that I am not overly satisfied with on my Edge is the Sport seats. I like the look of the SEL seats (see attached) much better for the Sport. I think it goes with the styling of the Sport and are full leather which is what i am looking for.

Let me know if you are interested. I am located in South Jersey if you are local.

  7. Thanks to all for the responses. I actually misspoke on the Titanium seats I was mistaken and I am looking for the SEL seats like the ones attached. Not sure to, Nick Halstead's point, of how to let owners know that I would be up for a swap. I will post in the classifieds section and see where it goes. Would need them to have the multi position power seats and heated of course to allow it to be a direct plug and play.

    Thanks again...

  8. Not sure hos this happened perhaps a rock or something while driving but in any event it did happen. I noticed it as I was cleaning the Edge this week. Was wondering if anyone else had this happen and if there is any paint or a way to repair it so it doesn't get worse. The Edge only has less than 5000 miles on it.. Bummer....

    Any help would be appreciated....

  9.

    $300 x 2 Front Seat Headrest
    $500 x 2 Front Seat Back Cover
    $600 x 2 Front Seat Bottom Cover
    $130 x 2 Rear Seat Headrest
    $240 Rear Seat Headrest Middle
$370 Rear Seat Single Back Cover
$570 Rear Seat Big Back Cover
    $744 Rear Bottom Cover

    $324 Rear Seat Arm Rest

$5,308 Total (assuming the front arm rest is the same for both or add another $500)

your best option is to find a local Titanium owner and see if they want to switch, probably a tad easier if your a member of the 3 facebook Edge groups, Ford Edge Worldwide, MactFordedge and Ford Edge

HOLY Sheister!!!! Tha is a lot of cash to lay out just to change. Burrcold has the right idea, go with an upholstery ship and get new covers made.

  10. May I ask why you do not care for the suede or technically alcantara?

Gjb89 what I don't like about them is the cloth like texture. I had a Toyota Camry with cloth seats that were similar material as these and they don't allow your cloths to more freely. They actually catch and hold them in place which means that my shirt or jacket tend to ride up my back over time as I am driving along with the natural movement while in your seat. Its rather annoying and uncomfortable at times.

It is interesting that Ford chose this combination rather than straight up full leather on their top of the line model.
