Just wondering if someone with an '07 MKX or Edge can go get the numbers off their factory Sirius tuner and tell me where it is located in the vehicle. Thank you!

Remove the back scuff plate around the trunk latch by pulling up ur S/N will be on left side on silver box that the sat module.

Sorry for the delay in responding. It took me about an hour to set up everything.

Steps

1 Peel off the the tape from head light wires so they are is only the 2 wires about 12ins retape them back up as headlight wires only.

2 The wires should now reach the fog lights an plug them in !!! ( tape up passenger side original fog light wire nolonger need)

3 On the drivers side take original fog light plug an plug it in to relay harness (U only need one connection for harness)

4 Connect relay harness to to HID ballast left side an right side an connect bulbs in to headlights.

5 Relay harness needs to be grounded my harness had ground wire on left side an right side an then connect positive to the battery !!

That's it really, now with switch in auto an pulled out your light will work as fog light runnig light during the day an at nite your HID will auto, come on !!

I have HID head light in my edge I went a little different way with mine.I switched my headlight plug in with my fog lights so now I have silverstars bulbs in my fog light lens an come on as my running light DRL during the day.I leave my switch in auto spot with fog lights on so when it gets dark headlights come on automatically.So now during the day no headlight just fogs.HID work great no flickering still use relay harness.Neg.. to this App when you turn on high beam low beam turn off (like fogs would) but now your fog lights stay on now because they are the low beam..I have 8000k HID so I really never use high beam.... hope that makes sence !!!!!

What about EcoBoost?

Mustang maybe MKX not likely heard they cann't fit the turbo set up in ? <_<

At work they are calling it the 2010.5 we start building them in feb maybe.

The MKS already has a 3.7L and the 3.7L will appear in the Mustang next year. I expect it to appear in the 2011 MKX sometime next year. I also expect it to put out closer to 300 hp in the MKX when it does appear.

I also have seen the new edge an mkx .I heard that there will be a 2.5 ecoboost engine an regular 3.5.Mkx will also have a 3.7 offered no ecoboost

A friend had problems with his lift gate took it to dealer an realized he was missing a rubber stopper on the lift gate causing uneven presure went it came down on.Not sure this applies to anyone

Edge sport has black ones depending on front bumper you may not notice.

I have the same problems sometimes I don't think theres a real fix for it <_<

Yes the head unit is now a Sony but like sync I think you need to download updates for it

Fourtunatly for us our dealer is in my own words STELLAR!!! the only frown I have about them is our service writer I don't get the warm and fuzzy from him, but he hasn't screwed up yet and I won't drop him untill he gives me a reason to.

 

I will contact the dealer and see what they can/will do for me, also is there a possability that the 8P disk won't work with my Nav because of the age of the unit itself?

I'm use a 7p copy now an it works fine 8p will work on your edge don't let them tell you differently....

If you jusy got your edge you should talk to the dealer about current disc because if 6p is what you have that already 2yrs old 8p was at the end of May....

make sure they get you the new 8p nav disc with deal...

with the sound system on but nothing playing (pause or volume set low) I get a hum out of the speaker(sub) in the trunk area. This happens with the car running or not. Anyway to tell if this sub it working?

On my Nav deck if you hold down 3-6 at the same time it will do a speaker test an walk through each one.Not sure if that helps you at all ?

wow... your using all possible inputs.. 2 USB items, 1 BT item, and the available Line In all at once.. I find I never use the BT as I do not keep music on my phone, Line In - well, that is to lo-fi & no charging or control with it as all I have are ipods

Well my wife has her music on usb stick an my kids have usb 2 an well that where my phone come in.I keep a play list on it so BT serve 2 uses at the same time hands free an music !!!LOL

so, I am not sure about the 09.. not even sure if the 09 still has this USB2 plug accessible or if they changed it in some way? did you look to see if it was there? I would think it would be the same, but not 100% sure. Really, tapping into it is so quick and easy, seconds, it is worth testing and posting up what happens with the 09.

 

Anyway, I do not recall not being able to go to line-in. It was always still a choice. So was the BT connection. neither were disabled by adding in the 2nd USB hook up. I will confirm that sometime this weekend. I had both USB hooked up on a recent 3k road trip (2 different iPods) and though I do not ever use Line In or BT connection, I am pretty sure they are still both options to select from.

To second what Lex said I have a 08 nav limited, I've had BT connected as a mp3 player plus usb stick on 1 an 2 an my headrest DVD player connected to line in had no problem switching from one to the other.That's odd that you would have trouble switching from one to the other.I talk to guys at work, has been tested but said there wasn't any real changes to sync set-up for 09.

I've had this happen to me too, a friend said that it maybe some thing to do with the satelite update there doing ?

I just bought a 07 MKX that has factory nav and the lincoln/ford rear dvd system...guess my question is there any way to play the rear dvd thru the radio without putting it on 89.1? My navigation has a source of rear seat entertainment but nothing...the orginal dealer says u have to put it on 89.1...which i would think was correct except for that source option on the nav unit itself...

 

 

also been having a problem with the two screens not both playing at the same time...suppose to be able to put one dvd in and watch on both screens or put in a dvd in each and watch different movies...so far have not been able to watch one movie on both even when source is on "a" or "B" on both....thinking maybe a connection is loose?

If you remove the back cover of your seat you will find wiring for headrest.Trace the wires there should be an audio out cable.If you find it you can connect it to your line-in plug in center console.Thats how I connected my units.As for your picture check wire in same area to make sure the are linked together with video out to in on one of them.
