This just happend to me yesterday. spent 4 hours at the dealership. Luckily I have an extended warranty and it only cost me $100.00. Car has 43000 miles on it. At 35000 the differential ( I think ) cracked that was two days in the shop.
And the SD card in the navigation system said it had a "fault", plus the reverse sensoring system wasn't working correctly..
This is my second edge. my first was a 2007. Had over 100,000 miles on it ...never a problem. Got rid of it because I figured things were going to start going wrong. But this car that I have now is way too new for the problems that it has had.
