  1. I've taken the remote apart quite a few times and inspected the circuit board and buttons quite thoroughly and haven't been able to find anything out of the ordinary. I also checked the contacts between the battery and the circuit board and they look fine as well. Hmm...
  2. I have a 2011 Ford Edge Limited with Intelligent Access. One of my fobs stopped working properly, where it’s still working to enable the start/stop button and it still enables intelligent access to unlock the doors by grabbing the door handles. But none of the buttons work to remotely start the vehicle, lock/unlock it, open the trunk, or turn on the alarm. My other fob works correctly. I’ve tried changing the battery in the fob with the same result. I also tried to reprogram the fob but couldn’t get through the step where the start/stop button is supposed to begin rapidly flashing (step 5 in the owner’s manual procedure for programming spare intelligent access keys.) Any ideas? I’m not sure where to go from here.
  3. Have you discussed with the person who sold you the camera? The ones I spoke to on eBay before purchasing guaranteed the image would not be upside-down as I knew it was a common issue with these replacement cameras. You could try getting them to send you a new one which may resolve the issue, or try a different model.
  4. The camera I bought is here: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/For-Ford-Edge-2011-2013-FL1T19G490AC-Rear-View-Backup-Parking-Aid-Assist-Camera/162809705845?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 If that listing goes down, it was part FL1T-19G490-AC. Listed for Ford Edge 2011-2013. Seller was autoparts-market168.
  5. I was having camera issues (first no backup lines, then no camera detected, upside-down image, etc.) I ended up buying a camera off of eBay (FL1T-19G490-AC) for about $40. I installed yesterday using the method posted by xK317Hx in this thread. It's working perfectly! Backup lines returned immediately after replacing the camera, and the camera is working great.
  6. Thank you! I'll look into the banjo bolt. I assume if I jack the vehicle up and get underneath I should be able to see relatively quickly if the leak is coming from the hose itself or the bolt? I got a copy of the service manual and noticed they recommend replacing the banjo bolt when replacing the hose, so maybe the dealership I took my vehicle to likes to default to replacing both no matter where the leak is originating from.
  7. Is it possible for me to assess whether I need to replace the steering gear on my vehicle? Are there any typical symptoms I should experience? I'm driving a 2011 Ford Edge Limited 3.5L AWD. I took my vehicle in to Ford last week for "The Works" package which includes an oil change and overall vehicle inspection. They said the high pressure power steering hose is leaking and needs to be replaced, along with the steering gear. I've never had any power steering issues and I haven't heard any sounds or whines while turning. I'm booking it in to get the high pressure hose leak fixed but I'm questioning whether the steering gear needs to be replaced as well. The gear itself was quoted from Ford as $1000 for the part and 5 hours of labour so it's quite expensive.
