Doesn't the Edge already have 265HP? I find it hard to believe that isn't enough for someone with an SUV. These vehicles don't handle too well so more HP is really only good on the drag strip. But, if you want to add some HP, do it the old fashion way. An exhaust system can add another 3-5% horsepower. A cold air intake can increase horsepower by around 20HP and a performance chip or tuning can net another 20-40HP. Now, for around $1,000, that's about 45-70HP, not too bad. Ian

My 08 Edge has had the gas cap light on since I have ad the car (4 months), and I pull 0 codes when I scan the car. I changed the gas cap and drove for 3 days with the new cap and the light never went out. Since the gas cap light is not part of the OBD2 codes and my scanner won't read a fault, is going to the dealer the only way to get rid of the light? I have checked around the forum and Google, but didn't really find anything useful. Normally, I would erase any codes and see if it comes back after a repair or part replacement, but I can not do that with the Edge. Any help would be great. Thanks, Ian

I installed a Blaupunkt stereo into my 08 SEL and I used the Crux SWRFD-60L Wiring Interface from Crutchfeld. It works perfectly. Ian

I have an 08 Edge SEL that had a basic stereo with satellite radio. I replaced the stereo with a Blaupunkt stereo with navigation using a Crux SWRFD-60L Wiring Interface. Can I still use the existing satellite components and hook up an after market satellite stereo? Can any of the parts be used? Is it worth it? Thanks, Ian

I decided I wanted GPS, so I returned the Pioneer and got the Blaupunkt San Antonio 640. I am having a problem with radio reception though. With the stock stereo, I couldn't scan for stations as it wouldn't find any, but I could put in the station manually and it would be fine. With the new stereo, I put in the station manually and it is all staticky, really bad reception. Does the Edge have a problem with it's antenna? Is it a matter of changing the mast, or so I have to change the whole thing? Does anyone know of a roof mounted antenna that works well? Thank you, Ian

Anyway, the Limited is too expensive for me right now, so I will stick with my SEL. I really want Bluetooth as we have a hands free law here and I do not want to get a ticket, again. Has anyone heard about these stereos that fit in the stock opening and run on Android? It comes with a CAN bus decoder for the steering wheel controls and fits Ford specifically, so the wiring fits without any splicing needed. I think the only thing needed is an antenna adapter. Considering I just got the car, (It's not even licensed yet), I decided to sell it and get a Limited with Sync. The car only has 140,000km (84,000 miles) and is in excellent condition. I'm sure I can get $7000 for it, (I only paid $5200.). Ian

Can I add Bluetooth to the stock radio? It is the base radio with Satellite radio. No amp. No sub, no sync. Or, how much is it to add the factory navigation to the car? Does anyone know of a good quality touchscreen stereo that doesn't cost a lot? I got an Chinese aftermarket stereo, but the quality if not good, so I am returning it. The stereo advertised it worked with steering wheel controls, but I found out it does not work with CAN bus vehicles (which it did not advertise.) Thanks, Ian
