    Im flat towing a 2011 Edge and do not disconnect the battery cable. I have not had any issues.

    Question - why couldn't you use the Brake Shift Interlock that allows a tow driver to get dead vehicle out of Park? It's easily accessible behind a panel below the shifter in my 2011. Alan B 2011 Ford Edge
