  1. So took possession today but the son of the P.O. didn't know what code his mom had set up for the exterior keypad. Is this something I will need to go to the dealer to get sorted out? I'll need to go there anyhow once I get my new keys to have them programmed to it anyhow. It's a 2014 SEL.
  2. Thanks. There were so many I couldn't remember which one had the most concise info.
  3. I have to keep an eye on these threads. I take possession tomorrow of my 2014 Edge SEL with power lift gate. I doesn't have a remote start on the key. Plus they only had one key, so I ordered 2 blank keys with the 5 button remote. I'll have to start seeing if I have a hood button. There was one identical on the dealers lot minus nav and it had remote start. Window stickers were identical down to the color and package 205a. They lost the other key and this one may be a replacement as it is. I guess I'll still have to have the dealer program the keys but I need a spare key. Any tips on which direction to go or what I should look for to see what I have already?
  4. Guess I'm officially joining the club tomorrow. Sign the paperwork and write a check.
  5. I can understand how you would expect metal attachment points but I'm sure it was engineered and then value engineered. I'll have to see what my dealer wants for them. Might be easier but hopefully not that much more expensive.
  6. I'll have to dig a little more into the coolant change thing. I know any coolant change is messy. I drove it this morning. The good stuff, pretty clean, nice and tight inside. No wear. The bad - couple door scuffs, nothing too deep, couple rock chips, only one key and no remote start. I made him an offer. He's going to see what his brother thinks.
  7. Did you just order the side rails package and it came with all the hardware and trim you need? I don't need the cross bars.
  8. It's the 3.5. It may have maintenance records but at 8,000 miles I'm not expecting much other than an oil change and a tire rotation. It would have the balance of the factory warranty. I'd doubt that they purchased any extended warranty as she didn't drive much. Chef, I've already read too many threads. I have a Rhino Rack box that I use on the Buick for week long vacations (and to put my golf clubs in when we go up North for the weekend) that I'm already thinking I need the side rails. Mainly because I wouldn't have to buy new cross bars, just new feet for it. Then there is the sync3 upgrade. I don't mind the $600 price range but the $1,800 price of the ones on ebay, ouch! I got spoiled by replacing the Buick's radio with a Kenwood Nav unit so I could have a back-up camera, xm radio and then I got into the HD radio once my commute shrank. There are still alot of decent people at the school and plenty of them had zero to do with the recent scandals. So it's tough to take the heat of the scandal when there are still good people there doing good things. I met a few players there in my day. Most memorable was LaVarre Arrington. While he didn't pan out so well in the pro's he was a giant dude on a college campus.
  9. That I am. Grew up about an hour away and it was a natural fit as it had the best program in the country for what I went into. I'm debating the purchase. A little over 8,000 miles on it. It's the president of my company's mom's car. It's a decent deal not giving it away but a couple Grand cheaper than the local dealers. I just want to have some more space for the kids stuff. Plus I'm over having a sedan. I mean the Buick is fine. Rides decent etc and that is something I don't want to give up.
  10. I have the opportunity to buy a 2014 Edge SEL fwd. Not all of the options, just 205 package pretty much. It has low low miles as it was an old person's car. Yes I'm partial to picking up Grandma's cars. I'm currently in a 2009 Buick lacrosse that had 8,000 miles when I got it a few years ago. Great car but I'm put a bunch of miles on it as I was traveling alot for work. I've done a fair amount of maintenance. From struts to plugs to lock actuators. I love the size and we need it with 2 kids and thier gear. Toddlers non the less. So how are families using these? Enough room? I hate to go to a car payment again when what I have works if not perfect. Thanks in advance.
