The Fan replacement I bought was from O'Reilly Auto Parts. On the old one, only one fan worked.

I have a 2011 Edge, I just replaced the cooling fan assembly a couple of days ago. When I turn the A/C on, it begins to overheat. I noticed that the fan kicks on when the a/c is turned on but it shuts off after a couple of seconds and on and off. Than it begins to overheat and blow hot air. Any ideas what it could be?
