I have a 2011 Ford Edge Limited. My mechanic replaced the module which did nothing as was discussed here. They ran a test on the heat elements of which is the problem. The issue is that all seat heater elements do not work and the lights stay lit on the display. I went to Ford for a second opinion and they called with an $1800 cost to replace all four elements, which is their suggestion. Ouch! Who needs heated seats?!? I am capable of working on this myself if it is even possible. Seems like a money grab from Ford if you ask me. I thought of buying used seats and am looking on ebay when I can. Nothing yet. Open to any suggestions, ideas. Thanks

I can turn the seat heaters on via the touch screen but nothing happens. I checked the box fuse under the hood and it looks fine. I did switch the 30 amp fuse with another just to be sure and nothing. I have not pulled the negative battery cable to reboot the system yet. Any thoughts or idea on what could be wrong. I replaced the Fuel Vapor Canister Purge Valve this past weekend and broke the quick release clip by accident. I thought it would be an easy part to replace but I cannot find it anywhere. Any ideas? I accidentally broke this bulb off of the gear selector when replacing the power point. Does anyone know how to get to the part that I need to replace or what it is called. Right now I am leaving it alone until I find something online that helps. The bulb works but has just broken of the gear selector. Thanks

I may have looked at the incorrect fuse. I looked here: http://www.autogenius.info/ford-flex-2015-fuse-box-diagram-usa-version/ and it states the "inside-bin powerpoint" being fuse #20.

I even swapped fuses with the 20 amp moon roof and the moon roof works fine still but the cigarette lighter still did not. The cigarette lighter (power point) should work. <scratching my head>

So I got the tool and the cigarette lighter still would not come out. I had to take the console top off and even then it was very difficult. I ended up damaging the cigarette lighter itself and used the one that came with the tool to replace it. All seemed fine but the new lighter does not work. I checked the fuse #9 under the hood and all seems fine. Any ideas on what could be the problem? Is the new cigarette lighter (even though the connector is the same as the old) not compatible with my edge? Thanks for your help!

I purchased a new power outlet cover for my edge center console a long time ago but cannot get the old one removed. I have read some information found via google but I cannot seem to get it off. The door broke on it which is why I want to replace it. No urgency. I have attached a picture of the new part. I don't want to force and break it. Thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks for reminding me to respond back to you all. You cannot adjust mine either. I installed the non-fomoco struts that I purchased thru Amazon and it now opens to just over 73". The struts were bad.

My edge opens to about 69 inches - I can push it open manually to about 72 inches. I have not installed the new struts yet.

I will measure it when I get home as I forgot to this morning. Stay tuned!

Thanks! I was thinking the maybe I could put a newer power arm on my car for a larger opening but not sure it would fit.

That would be great if it was. I can only speak for the 2011 as I looked everywhere in the owners guide as well as online. No luck. I hit my head daily :-( ... I would have waited and purchased a 2012 if I knew but it was not one of the things on my list to check unfortunately.
