  1. Relay position? As in the relays in the fuse box? That I have done, and it didn't help. I'm definitely scratching my head on this one
  2. I was going to replace the starter and see if that fixes it. I hadn't done so previously because I was under the impression that if it was a bad solenoid, the starter would continue to run even after the engine started. Visually it looks fine, no corrosion or wear.
  3. I tried running a scanner to see if any codes popped up, but nothing showed up.
  4. There are 3 plugs into the PCM that I see. I removed the middle large one and the one on the right as you face it. It ran rough but still started.
  5. It still starts with the PCM unplugged as well
  6. I have a 2007 Ford edge with a confusing electrical problem. My battery was drained, and had it jumped. Next morning it was dead again so I hooked up battery charger. Still wouldn't start. Installed new battery, and as soon as I attached positive cable it started the engine, without the key even in the ignition. I removed the negative cable and engine continue to run. I then removed a relay switch from the fuse box located in the engine compartment. Only then did the engine shut off. Now, the only way for me to start and stop my car is by inserting relay back into fuse box and attaching battery cable. The only use my key serves is to unlock the steering so I can drive. I've also noticed that my stereo won't work. It's on but I have no volume. I had an after market remote starter that I had removed, no change. I also replaced my ignition switch, no change. I've also noticed that there seems to be continuos power being fed to the fuse box next to the battery. (is this normal?). I'm scratching my head hear and hoping for some help.
