Yeah I don't know if i want to mess with trying to update the FW on the IPC, its pretty usable as is. I think the ambient lighting was always working... I was just trying to change it when the door was open, which I guess you can't do. Shows how much I use it . At some point I just need to get the new USB hub and then I should be 100% done. Overall its a pretty easy change, and I am liking it so far.

Just to close the loop on this, I think the settings above are going to be my final settings. Everything is working now. I even noticed that even though i can't select Bluetooth audio from the IPC, it will now show the song info if i back off the entertainment menu and go back. Thanks all for the help.

Thanks! I've been playing with this some more today and manged to get the clock to work, using a combination of what you provided and I had. I haven't had a chance to see if ambient lighting is working yet, but getting the clock going is a good start. I have the same problem as you with the audio sources, I only see Sirius, AM, FM, and CD under the IPC options. It doesn't give BT as an option, it also doesn't update if I play anything over android auto and still shows the radio information which is weird. Maybe this is normal for Sync 3 but did they remove the favorite phone contacts? I don't see that listed as an option under the IPC either. Hey All, Much like a lot of you I just took the plunge and updated MFT to Sync 3 in my 2012 SEL. Its a super easy change to swap out the units, and I've got it mostly working thanks to all the resources on this forum! I am having issues getting the last few APIM settings right and need some help... My biggest issue is that my clock is not working/saving time and the sync3 and dashboard times are not right. I am also having an issue with getting the ambient lighting to change, I see the option in Sync 3 but the controls don't actually do anything .
