  1. That looks awesome!!!! I would be a little worried about getting a lot of water and road crud/bugs in the engine compartment though...
  2. My dad had one and he liked it, but I never used it personally.
  3. Well we had to cut a hole in the bumper cover to install the hitch, and we can't return the edge with a hole in the bumper and no hitch there. I decided to post it on the local Craigslist and I sold it last week for 50 bucks I guess the guy's wife got rear ended by a trailblazer after only having their Edge for 6 days... ouch!
  4. I need to enlist everyone I can think of to help to find a toaster for a Christmas gift... I have a friend who has gone off to college and I want to get her a new toaster for the holidays... the only thing is that her dorm hall doesn't allow exposed heating coils (a piece of paper or something could fall in and catch fire if they are still hot)... Does anybody know where I can buy a toaster that has concealed heating? I know they exist... the inside looks kind of like a box or pocket with smooth, flat sides instead of all the wires and coils. If ANYBODY knows of a store that carries these, that would be awesome. I would rather not have to order it online, but if I must then oh well. I would also like to keep the cost under 30 dollars... but seeing as I can't find one anywhere... I might need to pay more. EDIT----- Regarding toaster ovens... That's what everyone says, but those won't work either because you can still reach in and touch the heating element. They have some crazy policy at the college. I really don;t understand it.
  5. Did you end up taking pictures? Or did you make a new thread that I missed...
  6. Hey everybody I'm glad to see that there is a forum for Edges. My family is leasing a 2008 Ford Edge and we love it. We have the vista roof and we use it a lot, although with the temperatures dropping it hasn't been opened as often. It has the red exterior and black cloth interior. The only complaint we've had is that there isn't much room for luggage when the passenger compartment is full of two adults and two teenagers :D I love the power although I must say that sometimes it is a little jerky if you push the accelerator too soon or hard after releasing the brake. My all-time favorite experience in the Edge so far is when I was stopped waiting to get onto the expressway and I spun the tires real good when I took off. Mom said I can't do that anymore. We live in SE Michigan, and right after we got it we took a week-long trip through the Upper Peninsula and throughout the NW Lower Peninsula. Everybody really enjoyed it. We even went off-roading a little bit down some not-so-often traveled roads. Don't have too many pictures but these are two of my favorite. I think that smoked taillights would look really nice, especially on the red, but I need to convince Mom to let me do it. The only thing we've done so far is added the towing package but we haven't used it yet.
  7. Hello all, I just joined this forum. My family began our lease on a 2008 Ford Edge and we love it. We've already took it on a week long trip around the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Recently, we took off the bumper and installed the Tow Package bumper support. We still have the OEM bumper support, and I was just wondering if it is worth it to try and sell it, or should I just try to sell it as scrap metal? (Which would bring up the question of where can I go to sell scrap metal?) By the way, I am located in the Detroit/Pontiac area, in Lake Orion... so if anyone is interested... *hint hint*
