  1. Exact same Michellin tires. P245-60-18. Has anyone noticed any difference in the driving characteristics between a 2015 and a 2018? Comparing exact same models? Talking about the suspension here-- struts, springs, dampers, steering, etc.
  2. Apples to Apples in every way, including tire size. Mirror images between the 2015 and the 2018. Anyone driven a 2015 compared to the 2018? Maybe it's my imagination- lol
  3. I had a 2015 V6 SEL that I turned in after the lease was up. My favorite car even (and I've had many). I loved the way it handled and just "floated" over any kind of pavement with minimal jostling. I thought it was a no brainer, so I transitioned into exactly the same model for 2018. So far, I have noticed that the steering seems to be tighter on the new one and the car seems to handle better around turns, but I also feel that road bumps are more noticeable and transmit up through the drivers seat (tire PSI 33 lbs). There is no mention on the internet, forums, reviews, dealers, FMOCO, or anywhere else regarding any changes to the suspension or steering. It could be my imagination or because it's a brand new car- I don't know. Any input out there from 2015 and 2018 Ford Edge owners?
  4. Apples to apples, everything between the 2015 and 2018 are exactly the same, so why does the 18 it drive differently. Not worse, I might add, but tighter steering and not as cushy over bumps. Different part number on the struts and steering box, but they often change numbers, I'm told. No one in Service or Parts or Sales has any explanation and Ford did not have any kind of announcement or bulletin. Maybe it's my imagination? s
  5. I believe they use a "sealed" system so there is no power steering fluid reservoir. I searched all over the internet to see if anyone had the same impression on their 2018, but so far nothing.
  6. My new 2018 Ford Edge is my 4th Edge- V6 SLE. I loved my 2015 so much that I bought a 2018 after a short test drive, assuming it would be very similar. After driving it a while (after the test drive and purchase), I noticed that it had "heavier" steering than my 2015. I really liked the "light" steering of my 2015, so I thought it was a " no brainer" buying the new one, which does not have adaptive steering. Much to my my surprise. and without any special Ford reports, I discovered that they have changed the part number of the rack and pinion steering gear beginning in February 2018.. Quite common, I am told, but I have been stonewalled by various Ford dealers as to the reason why. I am particularly sensitive the issue because I basically live in my car. It seems to track better than the previous version, but it takes more effort, especially at lower speeds. Any suggestions or input? 's s
