What's everyone's take on this?

So I did my 1st oil change just shy of 1k. Oil came out a lot darker than I expected, but I didn't find much metal in the filter - maybe a couple dozen small flakes. The largest is circled in attached photo.

I'm not so sure about that. Thx for the links, but my fingers are still crossed.

I dunno - I think these car companies are pushing the envelope with the plastic. I had a car with a plastic valve cover that turned out to be a disaster.

Geez - these Oil Filters are pretty pricey for a naked cartridge!

How many flavors of Mobil 1 Synthetic are there? Seems Walmart has this "Super" version cheaper than the regular synthetic!

New member here - first post. Hello everyone. I'm picking up a leftover 2018 Sport tomorrow. Do any members here subscribe to an early first oil change to get any break-in metal out of the engine ASAP? If so, at what mileage?
