  1. You should be able to disable by selecting it off in the left info center with the arrows and ok keys on the steering wheel when you first put it in reverse and it will stay that way until the next time the car is started I believe.
  2. Pretty easy to set the way you want. I leave it on auto as the few times i use remote start are when it's either very cold, snowy and icy windshield or very hot and remote start it to melt the windshield and back window, get it toasty inside or cool it down. I can see why you might want to choose the last climate setting though if you use remote start frequently and you're in a warmer climate
  3. This can be controlled by settings on left side of info center for remote start climate can be either auto (default) or last climate setting at the time the car was shut off. Yours must be set at automatic hence the heat or a/c based on the interior temperature of the car. This is detailed in the owners manual.
  4. Where in Wisconsin? I am in SE MN and typically along the river during weekends. I haven't tried the truck shops yet but they are probably just as high and hard to get into. The couple of dealerships in the area are all out at least 2 weeks for something like this and didn't really know what smartlink even is.
  5. Just got a smartlink module a week ago from Nate at Fairway. Followed easy instructions to get it almost setup but haven’t been able to find a place to get it activated in IDS besides the stealership that wants $150 for 10 minutes of fiddling on a computer. Are there any other types of places that have IDS or ways to get it programmed that doesn’t involve the stealership? Any help is appreciated.
