I have a 2013 AWD Ford Edge, 75,000 miles, with a leaking PTU. I have extracted and refilled it,
but it still leaks. So, I have decided to have the PTU replaced. A local mechanic has replaced these
units and is willing to drill & tap a drain into a new unit before installing it.
Question? Are there replacement PTU's with the drain plug already installed? For example, would
a 2015 or 2016 Ford Edge, MKX, or other model PTU be compatible. I have heard that the newer units
have greater capacity, cooling and drain plugs. Thanks for your feedback.
