  1. The heated and cooled front seats in my '11 MKX both seem to only be working on the outer portions of each seat (forward part of the bottom cushion- thigh area, and the upper portion of the backrest around the shoulders), with the rear half of the seat, and lumbar portion of the backrest not heating or cooling. From the research I have done so far, the backrest and seat cushion heating/cooling are independent of each other, and the air manifold for each portion is a single unit, so I don't see any failure points that may cause this, especially so 4 times over. Could it just be that there is no heating in this area, or am I missing something that may be causing this? I have had to replace a failed harness and add an additional ground to the DCSM, and also have a spare module to try should I need it, but again I don't see any point in the system where an electrical failure could have taken out these 2 "zones" offline. Has anyone run into a similar issue, or have any ideas on how I may approach fixing this?
  2. A little update to close this out incase anyone finds themselves in the same spot. I came across a post on this forum about 3D printing a brackets to make the flat screen work-https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/24155-sync-2-to-sync-3-in-2011-with-3d-printed-brackets/?tab=comments#comment-183751 I don’t have a 3D printer myself, but was able to find someone on a local Facebook group who was kind enough to print them out for me. The brackets fit perfect without any adjustment, and seem fairly sturdy, though we will see how they hold up long term. The rest of the install went fine, I was aIso able to use the As Built information in that thread on my vehicle as it was very similar to my set up. I will probably have to tweak a few minor things eventually, but it was close enough to get it working until I have more time to dig into the programming. All in I was able to do the whole Sync 2 to Sync 3 with nav swap for under $90 CAD as I managed to find most of the parts at a junkyard, and did the programming myself.
  3. From what I understand, those are designed for the recessed screen as well. I am looking for a way to make the standard/flat screen work.
  4. Is there any guide on modifying the bracket from a gen 1.5 edge MFT to fit a flat/standard display sync 3 display? I got a deal that I couldn't pass up on a ford focus screen, and am hoping that there is a way to make it fit into my edge. I have come across a guide for an F150, but it looks a little different, so I am hoping someone might have experience doing this on an edge. Thanks in advance!
  5. I recently purchased a 2011 Edge Limited, with factory HID lights, and being unfamiliar with xenon headlights I have a few questions. When the bulbs turn on, they have almost a “shimmer” effect to them (the light appears to dance around when viewed against a wall), and after a minute or two, one or both headlights will go out. Turning the selector to off, and back to on or auto will bring the lights back for a few minutes. Do these symptoms tend to point to a bad ballast, or bulb itself? Also, what bulb seems to be the best choice for the hen 1.5 edges?
