  1. I was not having issues with temperature. I have not found a reset method either. There are four different HVAC control motors on the system. This part looks to be a control piece, https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/control-6449199-1#sectionId:4364798 But I'm no tech. The mode selection issues may well account for the temperature problems if the system needs all things to work together. Try changing out the motor as described above and see if that fixes both problems. Good luck.
  2. looking at this diagram, it is part 19E616B... https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/climate-control/ac-repair-parts/motor-assy-7793905-1#sectionId:4364798
  3. So Since I got no responses to this, I figured that there were no others with the same issue. But I did end up fixing the problem today. ordered the new HVAC mode motor from Ford, When you order from the website they have a nice picture where this particular motor is located. Drivers side top motor. To access it you need to remove the front lower dash panel under the steering column. Take out the two screws (7mm) holding in the panel at the left side coin drawer. Gently unsnap the lower dash from its holders. You don't need to remove the screws holding the inner dash. Take the lower steering column cover off. Then you can see the motor. the motor is held in with two philips head screws, it is easier to remove if you move the scan port out of the way two 8mm nuts... When you go to put in the new motor, it probably isn't set to the position where the old one is. To solve this plug in the motor and turn the accessories on in the car. Put the heater on auto and the motor should adjust properly. Reinstallation is the reverse of the way you took it apart. Only took me 1 and 3/4 hours to do the whole thing and I did some extra steps that weren't needed... Good luck.
  4. 2015 Ford Edge, owned since new, 85K miles... three days ago the Mode would not switch from Defrost to front, ran through buttons several times, no luck, turned the car off, back on wa la, it worked. Today now I can't get to defrost no matter what I do. tried the 20134-14 reset didn't work (power/defrost button combo). Would really suck if I can't get defrost to work in the northeast. Any help would be appreciated.
