Thought I would add a post to the reliabilty column.....

Took delivery in May. As of Nov 2, I have 25,000 kms. This is a great vehicle and I am very peased....

First problem was this week, I noticed a wheel noise in the rear that seems to be getting worse. Dealer says it's a wheel bearing, but they don't have parts at the depot. Should be fixed next week, but I am still driving.....

SEL AWD version.

I chose my Edge because of the good looks, complete option package and availability of AWD. I was a long time GM guy and most recently two-time Chev Trailblazer driver (2002, 2004) and wanted something different.

The Edge is good on gas, rides and handles excellent. I took delivery of a new SEL AWD in May and have 24,000 km's so far. Like others, I initially didn't like the headrests, but don't notice anymore.

Overall a great vehicle. Well done Ford!

"Poof" I'm back. Just busy driving my Edge. Got it on the 4th. Almost a month old and have almost 4K on the odometer.

Don't intend to sound silly, but why do you want to remove the headrests ?

Mileage seems to get better with time.

I am getting 13 litres/100km after 1000 kms on the odometer (mostly highway). I think this is about 18 mpg. Still not as good as my previous 4.2litre Trailblazer, but it should improve.

I recently purchased an Edge SEL+ with Nav, but no Sirius. I have heard that Sirius can be upgraded into the Nav system via a code (from dealer I think). Does anyone know for sure? Is additional hardware involved? Can this be done if I have already installed Mobile-ease?

Laytoncorp.. I can't answer your sirius question, but want to ask about your mobile-ease. Did you install this your self ? Is this an easy DIY project? The bluetooth seems like a great idea.

Edgeguy you seem to be in the same boat as I and its not moving. I believe you also have ordered an AWD SEL +, is that correct? Any chance you ordered a navigation system and/or Vista roof? Oakville, is there a shortage of something? My Edge was ordered 5 weeks ago and nothing has changed......

I was wondering If it's possible to get a SEL+ without the BAMR and no roof rack side rails?

Yes, the roof rails are optional (about $ 100. extra). Mine is ordered without rails and without BAMR.

Hi there... my brother works on the line.. kinda hard for him to get to the office to track during the day..

 

My order (SELplus with Vista and Nav) placed March 20 -was initially told 3rd week of April - my dealer got the build in and I got a VIN right away... there was a shortage of NAVs - dealer had 2 orders in - mine got a NAV and the other hot pushed back a week. Brother did say some shifts were down - which is slowing the line - but production is supposed to be ramped up to 1100 units per day...

 

They are taking their time with this.. they want it right and so do I -

 

Its Creme Brulee with charcoal - the more I see the Edge around.. the more I like it

 

Brother did check my VIN - build scheduled for Apr 23 - but it could be sooner - I should see it by end of month.

Mine is a Light sage with stone interior. VIN was March 15th, 5 days before yours I guess. This puts me around April 17th, which fits my dealers promise for May 1st. Too bad these can't be ordered and tracked like my last Dell.....

I live in the GTA -and my brother works there... it was supposed to be 4 weeks.. now closer to 6 due to some delays..

Ordered Mar 20 - got a VIN ready away too..
