In my 2017 Edge titanium the heater core major leak of coolant inside my vehicle and core in terrible condition. Happened at end of November 2019. Have 121,000 km on it but this is not normal on a two year old car my mechanic stated. I also had ford check it and they were not helpful. Dealer blamed it on mileage and our climate ice salt snow etc. Crap story. I called ford corporate to report it and all I get is you have no warranty and we can’t help you. I read online some were recalled and that there were defective heater cores used but ford wasn’t sure where they went. Maybe I ended up with one. There was a crack bend in the core and that’s where the fluid poured out. Guess is over time it caused major leak and my mechanic figures the part went into the car that way when it was built. Any way thousands of dollars later it’s replaced and I have working heat and defrost again. And I won’t be buying a Ford next time.

Rear hatch glass shattered completely in my 2017 Edge titanium this past weekend while it was parked inside my garage. I opened rear passenger door behind driver side and put a bag on the seat. I closed door as normal and heard a bang crash. I couldn’t believe it. There was no damage on that glass prior to this incident. I am dealing with my insurance but I called Ford corporate to report this as I know from reading and talking to people I know this is not a first of this happening. I read a “better” glass used by ford to replace so was the original glass inferior a common problem ?
