  1. Well, I just did a factory reset... twice. ? Everything was going well. I added my phone back, fixed some of the settings that I had personalized, I rebooted my phone, turned on the Ford pass app and my car was no longer there. I use FordPass app to remote start and remote lock etc. So I had to re add that onto my phone. It was getting locked up in the app. So, I thought I’ll turn off the car and turn it back on and see if my FordPass app would recognize the car then. It didn’t, but what it did do to my car screen when I turned it off and back on was that it completely made the background on my car screen BLACK. The home screen had all black and white print, all other screens were the same. I went back into display settings and the options were no longer blue, light blue and so on. They were black too. Brightness wouldn’t help. So, I stopped and started car again. No change. That’s when I decided to factory reset for the 2nd time. At this point, I figured it wouldn’t matter. Still no change. In the meantime, I deleted and re added the FordPass app and was eventually able to add my car and access it through the app. The screen on the sync is still black back ground. I did plug up my phone to try Apple car play and thank God, that worked on my car screen. However, it is still doing the same as before with glitches and music apps work for a few and then completely stop. I look on the dash screen and it says live audio stream detected, or something like that. I have to go back into my music app(I use amazon music unlimited) and have to try to restart it by trying to pick another playlist etc. etc. It is so frustrating getting in the car to drive an hour commute every morning wondering if my sync will work or if I will have to reset it again with the (volume/forward button at same time for 5 seconds) This is EVERY MORNING! This is why I wanted to do the factory reset! I’m tired of doing that every morning. I am a teacher, drive an hour to work every day, so this is why when the service tech told me weeks ago that I would need to drop my car off with them and leave it, I never did.
  2. Thank you so much for your response! The dealer I bought mine from is apparently behind in the service department, so unless I want to bring and drop it off, I suppose I’m stuck for now. I appreciate your time ?
  3. Got a 2019 Edge St. in September and the sync system has given problems since. I use Apple CarPlay regularly and it works when I leave my house and elsewhere, but most mornings or random times of day I have to reboot the system(hold the power/forward button 5secs.) After this happens, it’s all good. I’ve done a full master reset the week I bought the car because I was having problems then. It is a hassle to reboot at least once a day to get this to work, or to completely unfreeze. That happens too. The screen and whole system has also stayed on after stopping, getting out of vehicle and locking it. It would not go off!! This is how I found the reboot fix. That was the only thing I could do to get it to turn off. I’ve tried the phone reboots and losing the car and phone idea and allowing one or the other to find each other’s Bluetooth again. I’ve had to do this multiple times. My phone and my sync are both up to date with the latest software updates as well. It’s getting old getting in the car and wondering if, when I plug my phone up, the sync system will allow me to use it without the trouble of locking up completely or not being able to use Apple CarPlay. Or... at worst, staying on in my car after car off and locked. Called dealer, service tech told me it sounded like a battery issue. We’ve checked that the connections are stable etc. Not it. Dealer said if not the issue, to come drop car off and there would be no predicted time for them to fix it and me get it back. If I didn’t commute an hour to and from, this may not be a problem. Any suggestions?
