  1. Had to take it in to Ford to have it looked at. They found that the differential is pooched! Not a happy camper it will cost just over 2500 to replace. ☹
  2. It has 134000kms on it. Just now went to back up in the driveway after coming back from work and it was almost as the wheels were locked up in reverse. Put in drive and what ever it is wouldn’t let it coast forward until I gave it a bit of gas which then popped and moves freely again.
  3. I have a 3.5 2016 Ford Edge. Last week heard a grind noise, which sounded like brake pad worn and grind. Changed out all the pads and rotors, which were worn but not bad. The grinding noise is still present. Almost like metal on metal sound. I’ve checked the PTU doesn’t show any sign of leakage, even checked the fluid level which was fine. Bearings seem fine by doing a drive way check for any play they seem tight. For the life of me I have been trying to figure the grind out for a week now. There is no performance loss at all, grind as mentioned only does it when all wheel drive is working once it goes to front wheel drive it is back to normal quiet drive again. When coasting sound is not present either. When driving you hear it more coming from passenger side. Sitting in the passenger seat you can barely hear it. Now yesterday advanceTrac and hill start came on but when I hit ok hasn’t came back on again. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Also should have mentioned when just starting up seems normal for about 10 mins of driving then once starting and stopping at lights after that it starts the grind or metal on metal sound.
