  1. Yes. The part arrived Friday and I installed it right away. Very easy install, took about 20 minutes. Has worked every single time since. Challenged it with the push button inside, key fob, button on door handle, “wave of the foot”. We were out and about this weekend and I popped it every time we stopped and got out of the vehicle. Flawless. Thanks for the tip. The wife is very happy.
  2. Ordered. Will report back with outcome once installed. Thanks
  3. Can you provide the part number or Amazon link? Is yours a Titanium model?
  4. @Virtualtracy,Thanks for responding back with this update. I plan to call my local Ford Dealer today. For those interested, my liftgate still does the shrug probably 20% of the time. When it does I have to crawl in and open with the small screwdriver trick. After many trips to the dealer it’s been extremely frustrating to say the least.
  5. @Virtualtracy does your hatch open consistently with the rear button after disabling? My hatch has failed to open a couple times. I’ve been wondering if my issue could be the latch itself.
  6. My battery is about 1.5 yo. I haven’t had any issues starting the vehicle (except when “rear gate ajar” drained the battery). I even put a battery charger on it to see if more power would help but it still had the same issues.
  7. Lou, I went to the left menu and selected to disable. Settings / vehicle / power liftgate / disable switch one additional note, when you hold up on the button in the rear to release the latch, you may need to keep it pressed for a few seconds. Then the hatch should “pop”open but doesn’t lift. You will have to lift it manually.
  8. I’ve noticed my manual open with a screwdriver only works when the latch has tried to open and jams. If it is in the fully locked position then it can’t be triggered. Just my observation. Make sure the screwdriver is no wider than a 1/4”.
  9. Thanks DaMiFo. Unfortunately I took the module back out when it didn’t fix the problem. Will need to see if I can get back, install and program. On my the bright side, thanks to Virtualtracy for the mention of disable and use the liftgate manually. Doesn’t solve the issue but at least it made the hatch accessible.
  10. I didn’t have it programmed. Would I need to take it to a Ford dealer for programming?
  11. I suspected the liftgate module as well. Replaced it and still have the same issue. Have you found a solution?
  12. I think I’m getting old (52). I can recall my father talking about how smooth a big block was compared to the smaller V8s and, god forbid a V6. All I want is good torque and smooth acceleration. This I4 turbo seems to have a Napoleon attitude. If you know what I mean.
  13. I see these chips to improve performance. Can the same chips be used to de-tune or at least lessen throttle response unless WOT?
  14. Makes sense. I’ll do it in the next week or so and report back.
  15. Could it be possible for the vehicle to be stuck in sport mode?
  16. Okay. I’m definitely putting it in drive them and not sport. I do have the paddle shifters on the steering wheel but don’t use them. The vehicle has 86,000 miles on it but I’ll look into the oil change. Thanks.
  17. I’ll give it a shot in the next couple days. The biggest issue is the “hair trigger” throttle. Try to ease it down and the car still jumps and during acceleration becomes jittery.
  18. D, I believe. I haven’t seen where there is an S or sport mode available.
  19. BTW, my Edge tranny can hit like my old 68 mustang after I purchase and installed a shift kit in the old C4 in 1988. Had just graduated High School. I’m looking for something a bit smoother these days.
  20. This makes sense. I drive pretty easy (most of the time). Hopefully someone will have some insight on how to make this jerky upshot smooth out a bit. I love and have loved for years the vehicle. Would jus appreciate something that feels like the old smooth acceleration of my V8 youth. I don’t care much about gas mileage.
  21. Is there a chip or ECU mod that will effectively de tune my 2015 Edge? I would prefer a smoother acceleration and softer shift.
