Thank you for responding. I will replace the battery and inspect the wires. What do you mean by a reset placing a new battery?

Hello everybody. Had an issue with our 2017 Ford Edge, it had power and all was working but when hitting the start button you could hear solenoids click but the engine did not turn. Disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and it started up fine. Does anybody know what that is related to and if this will become a re-occurring issue? BTW the day before this the tail gate would not close with the button on the dash or the key fob or the button in the back of the Edge, closed it by hand, can that be related?
