  1. Well, I have an update on my issue, although I still haven't solved it. I noticed that the battery only drains when the headlight switch is left in the 'auto' position, even though no lights remain on. It does this even with all of the interior fuses removed, which makes it very confusing to me. With all of the fuses in and the headlight switch in the 'off' position there is less than .1 amp draw. I have a factory wiring schematic book and I can't see any interior circuits that are powered 'ahead' of the interior fuse panel. And my wife wonders why I have kept my 1971 F250 4x4 for 42 years. Never had any mind bending issues like this with it.
  2. I have a problem with the battery draining dead on a 2009 Edge when it sits for several days. the battery is new. Here is what I have done so far to find the problem. I hooked a VOM set to amps between the negative battery post and negative terminal , and it shows a 3 amp draw. I disconnected the outbound lead on one side of the 100 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood and the draw dropped to zero, which would lead me believe the issue is inside the the vehicle since the fuse box under the hood still had power to it but no more battery draw. I hooked the lead back up and removed all of the fuses, the circuit breaker, and relay from the interior fuse box in the driver side kick panel, and I still show a 3 amp draw on the battery. The only aftermarket equipment on it is a remote start which I located in the kick panel. I removed both inline fuses to it and even unplugged the module, but still have a 3 amp draw on the battery. I am running out of ideas on what else could be causing the battery draw. A help or suggestions would be appreciated.
  3. Just wanted to say hello. I am a new member to the forum with an older 2009 Edge. It has been a pretty reliable vehicle until lately, and now starting to have some issues with it. I decided to join this forum to see if anyone could help answer some questions for me. I did some searching on here for issues related to mine, but didn't find any related topics. ( I am old and not too good with online forums ). I will post my questions on here as soon as I figure out the proper place to post them, and hopefully get some help from you all. I am having an electrical issue and not sure where is the proper place to post my question.
