  1. Hey lads, I've recently upgraded my 2011 sel seats and swapped them with a 2014 sport. The DTC I receive now is RCM u3000:4a-8b. Which from what I understand is "incorrect component installed". The seats are working fine. And when sat on the passenger side the indicator does show that the passenger side airbag turns on. I'm not sure if some block writing maybe required. Is there a way to view as text the as built files I saved for my edge earlier before changing the seats and comparing to the live one to see if there have been changes ?. Do I need to make a new profile to make this go away. Would love the help. I feel there is a way to solve this issue through software programming. 'm just not sure of how to. I tried resetting the problem but it does come back up. Tried unhooking the battery for a while and that didn't work either.
  2. Thanks a lot for your answer buddy ! Appreciate the time you've taken out. I've got my hands on the repair manual. It seems pretty comprehensive (about 5 and a half thousand pages). It's quite helpful. I want to completely go ahead cause it seems like I'm getting these items for quite cheaper of a price than most people do. The people who have done these swaps. Would you be able to recall someone who has done it ?. Or maybe a ford tech who knows where I can tap into. I do see some splicing points yet I'm not sure how to go about those. I'll go the fusion site and see what I can get there. Although you may know to easily do the side skirts and the lower bumper trims Thanks a lot !
  3. Well I'm starting with an edge 2011 3.5 sel and the one with the parts I'm looking to pull out of is a 2014 sport. Time and effort I'm happy to put in. Money .... Well Im trying to have things done as an exchange and then i sort of pay a little bit of cash aswell. Apart from that I'm I think now atleast quite a bit familiar with forscan. I did activate the ambient lighting in my car (obviously it doesn't work yet) however it gives me the option to change and everything. Thing is I need clear instructions on what steps to take. Like what sort of wiring do I need to do with the seats ( what do I need to grab out of the 2014 to get the stuff to work. For instance the little panel next to the steading. Do I just swap those little panels. Is there a connection behind mine ?. For the ambient lighting I can take off the interior door panels. The panel for cup holders. I don't know if I have to swap the center console with the Sony one in the 2014. If I do need to do that. I can perhaps persuade him to do so. The door panels would have the LEDs and the wiring inside but where do I need to take them off from his car and where do I out them on my car. For the trunk I can grab the motor. Maybe even the whole panel on which the motor sits. But about the wiring again. Where do I pull out from the 2014 and how and where do I fit in my car. The push start seems like a lot of work. Maybe I can grab an after market one they seem to have easier installation procedures. That may be easier. I'm not completely sure. But if it can be done and someone can actually instruct me on how to do it then I can go for it For programming I am a member of a 2 Facebook groups for forscan aswell and they seem to know what they are doing. So I'm sure someone or the other will fill in the gaps. If you can help me with this or there is someone you can refer me to. Like maybe a ford mechanic or someone who may have added these features. Or has wiring diagrams or the layout of the wiring and the panels that need to be accessed then I'll be in your debt !
  4. Hello lads, I have a rather odd situation and request. There is a 2014 ford edge sport available and for whatever reason he's selling off all the parts including stuff on the interior. I was wondering how hard it would be to swap the ambient lighting, the seats (I would prefer if I can do that with the memory seat), the trunk motor and its control, lastly the push start button. I'm willing to put in the work as long as I can actually do these things. If there are people
