Need some direction and information!
After several occasions where my Sync/ entertainment system stopped working, then after a few days, started up again, it quite for good, which affects the hands-free, radio, heating controls, etc. Took the car to my local Ford dealer and they indicated the Sync Module needs to be replaced. This was a couple of months ago and because of the backlog issue getting computer chips and long lead-times, they are uncertain how quickly they will be able to obtain this part from Ford.
So, I'm curious to learn if this part could be found used from an auto recycler? Where can I obtain its official Ford p/n and description from a parts diagram of the vehicle?
Can I assume that there might be other Ford vehicles that also uses this same part, but they might have a different Ford p/n?
