Thanks for the speedy response. I was afraid of that. I’m going to pull some fluid from the PTO and the transmission and send it off to be tested before I tell them anything. Like I said they don’t take care of their cars so for all I know, they’ll actually get the PTO and then the transmission will be bad too.

I am currently working on my In-Law's 2013 Edge 3.5 AWD. They don't really take care of this thing so I am at a point of well there are a million possibilities. So basically the problem is that when accelerating from a stop while turning hard left, you could feel what felt like the wheel was binding and you could hear a bad metallic scrapping and grinding noise. Nothing happens on a straight or right hand turn. I noticed that the wheel bearing WAS in fact bad so I told them to start there. So I got the part and installed a new bearing AND hub just because I don't trust anything that they own. Now that I've replaced that, the vehicle still makes the noise but the binding seems to be much better (oddly enough). Now for the annoying part, I know that their strut bearings are bad the vehicle isn't very well taken care of so I don't know when the last time the transmission was serviced, or if it has ever been taken care of, and when I have the vehicle in the air I can hear a slight noise from the PTO with a screw driver as a stethoscope but since there is no load on the vehicle the noise doesn't seem to be present and only the right wheel turns at idle with it in Drive. The left wheel will move for a second and then stop and repeat. I don't think it is coming from the transmission but I haven't been able to get a pair of chassis ears on it because of my work schedule. I was wondering if the PTO would make it bind on a left hand turn, since it is on the right side of the transmission. I would think that it would cause it to bind on a right hand turn but not a thing happens. I will post a video with the noise tomorrow when I have some daylight to see what I am doing.
