No update on my part. I am still looking to receive some wireing diagrams so i can understand the differences between the 08 and 09 models. If I can get my mitts on those I think I would have a running chance to activate the sync and USB

I have a 2008 Edge ltd with the 2009 nav installed. everything works except for USB and Sync. I just cant give up on this whole 2009 Navigation debacle. Ford, specialty audio installers and folks on here all have said you cant add Nav and have full functionality. My backgroung is in electrical engineering and I cant give up this easily. Does anyone have access to and the ability to post the Audio wiring schematics and/or block diagrams for the following. 1. 2008 Edge with Sync and 6 dics changer 2. 2008 Edge with Sync and Nav 3. 2009 Edge with Sync and Nav If I can get these I am going to put some serious calories toward finding a solution. Has anybody gotten word from Ford on how they veiw lowering springs in relation to the drivetrain warrenty?

I recently picked up a 2008 LTD AWD with Nav, I didn't learn till after I brought it home that it was a 2009 version nav. Originally this vehicle came from the factory with the 6 dis CD changer. Unfortunatley there are some issues with this setup. No Sync access, no USB, no bluetooth. The travel link, gps nav, steering wheel controls and siruis work well. Through some digging I found out that a aftermarket audio company in Denver( Cartoys) installed this unit. I willbe incontact with them to see if they have any insight on getting some of the other features to operate.

Is there a non intrusive method for determinng if the Nav unit is the 2008 pioneer or the 2009 Sony?
