  1. I have it on my 2016, and use it all the time.  My wife really likes it.  I can see the accidental tripping of it and all, but still, we have had no problem with it.

  2. Well, that's really up to you.  If the fans are good, there is really no need to change them.  On the other hand, consider that they are 13 years old, and it might be good to replace them, especially if they are not that much more.  That way you you know it's good to go.  Good luck, and welcome to the forum!

  3. Well, after a year now on the site, I have earned a badge!  I'm a "Newbie".  I guess I'm not sure how the badging/ranking system workes on this site, but it seems to me after a year, I should have advanced further than the lowest ranking badge of Newbie.  The next badge is a "Rookie".  Boy, I have a long way to go under this system!

Hi All, just joined the Forum after having picked up a 2024 SEL (coming off an Escape Hybrid). So far so good...just a little shock on the gas milage!

Welcome to the forum.  Which way is the shock?  Good or bad?

And about the "Ford Pickup & Delivery Service", wow, I never knew this even existed. It looks like my local Ford dealership does participate in this. Very nice to know although I will more than likely take this in myself.

And while I'm there I will inquire about their pickup and delivery service to confirm they do participate in this service and ask if the vehicle needs to be in drivable condition or not.  :)

I had the pickup and delivery last time I had my truck in for service.  They call it "Red Cap" service here (I think).  They came and picked up the truck, had it about a week (I had some recall stuff done, and oil and other stuff done), and brought it back to my house.  My wife was ecstatic.  She hates driving, especially where this dealer is (hard to get in and out of).  So, no more having her tail me to the dealer anymore!  And no more me having to listen to her whine about it!

Yes, that was my personal preference. DE badging seems to be a popular thing here in Ca.

A couple other things I noticed between the 2021 I traded in for my 2024:

    Rear camera washer is gone.

    The glovebox light is gone.

    passenger seat is now a 6-way adjustable (2021 was a 10-way)

No more Key-pad on the driver door for keyless entry.

And the 70.00 tray of course.

The glove box light was nice to have.

Uh, wait.  So you're saying there is no more keyless entry?  Is this just for the ST (I assume your '24 is an ST)?  I don't use the keyless entry a lot, but when I do, it is damn handy.  I would miss it.  Is it still an option for add-on?

Here are the 4 things I did to my 2024:

    Hood insulation blanket.

    pass through rubber pad.

    console tray.

removed the EDGE emblem, kept the ST.

Other than the emblem removal, I did it to complete the vehicle. Not sure if that makes sense but it felt like those things should be there. I love the ST

Everything looks good except for removing the Edge.  It makes the ST look a little lopsided.  And it looks "empty", like something is missing.  This is just my opinion.

  8. It sounds like a blend door issue.  Either the blend door, or maybe the module for it.  I don't know how to diagnose or track down, but the symptoms sound familiar to those reported on the F-250 forum I'm on.  Not as much for the newer trucks, but it was a fairly common issue on the older trucks, including the 2011s.  I had to have mine replaced on my 2008  Was about $800 back then (2010).  Hopefully someone will be along shortly with some additional info.

    Signature updated.

The car is no longer under warranty.
My Edge was imported to Europe from the USA, hence the problem with finding a specialist with appropriate information such as diagrams of modules and sensors.

And in this topic I will let you know if the problem is the RTM in the headliner at the back of the car.

Ah..got it.  Thanks for the clarification.  I can see this certaily being an issue.

  10. Awesome.  Thanks for posting up the solution, and sorry you had to go through all that to get the brakes fixed.  But good to see it is finally fixed.  Hope that's all for now, as the Edge really is a pretty nice car, as i am coming to find out the more I drive mine.  I am also on the FTE site

  11. Hi folks. I have a 2016 Edge Titanium, and am wondering if there are any "upgraded" or "updated" trim for the instrument panel. My problem is, I have trouble seeing what the buttons do. I can't read them from where I set in the driver's seat. I can see everthing fine, I just can't read any of the buttons. This goes for all the buttons in the car. Is there anything anyone has seen that has the lettering bigger, or brighter, or anything to help people like me with 4 eyes, and none of them work properly?
