Thanks for all the assistance. My insurance covered two (barely, because if a wheel and tire is more than $1,000, which they are when they are not on sale), my premiums would have gone up. After I got the two fixed, I noticed another one. The Ford dealer who said that it is a road hazard is flat wrong. Tires and wheels should not get damaged so often without even feeling the hits. I can't tell you how careful I've been. This is a plain and simple design flaw.

I put less than 1,000 miles on my 2008 certified MKX with the shiny 20 inch chrome wheels with Pirelli Scorpions, and all 4 are bad. 2 from nothing potholes, I guess, because chunks came off the tire and 3" rub marks on the wheels. One has a knick. The last has obvious repairs markings. I hate them. Anybody have any suggestions? The dealer says that it's my fault. I already bought one new one for $925 and am not doing it again. This is a design defect as far as I am concerned.
