Maybe you are long gone from this forum, but I wanted to thank you BillFL for taking the time to make this post way back in 2019.
I'm a single mom with a secondhand 2017 Edge and I am about to pick up the canoe I've been saving my pennies for and watching marketplace for a year.
I was able to follow your steps and install tie-downs on the front of my edge thanks to you. It might seem like a very simple thing, but I come from a generation of women that were socialized to believe anything car-related was too messy and complicated for us - that was boy stuff. So thank you, truly, for making things clear and simple so that I could push outside of my comfort zone and do this thing for myself.
