2016 Ford Edge Sport Sync3 1.0 to 3.0 CarPlay Issues

I upgraded the Sync on my 2016 Edge from 1.0 to 3.0. Carplay still doesn't work and I also thought maybe the software did not fully install. But it looks like I also have to upgrade the USB hub? Is that correct? Any help is appreciated.
