Hey all, had to join this forum to post this question as although I've ended up on here a few times through google, I haven't been able to find anything that seems to be the same thing I'm experiencing.
2008 Ford Edge LTD is making noise from the front passenger area (think it's about right where the passengers feet would be). It happens more under low speeds, when not under acceleration, happens more when you turn to the left, not really at all when you turn to the right, pretty severe after it's been sitting, way less pronounced after driving 20-30mins on the highway. Changed the brakes and still making the noise. Sounds almost like rubber rubbing vs a harsh metal grinding noise though, kinda groan-y. Tire and rotors have no visible wear marks anywhere. Local mechanic said he couldn't find it the first time, but brought it back in and now he's saying he thinks it could be the front differential...
He already said it was the brakes and changed those and it didn't do anything so I'm hoping someone here more versed in this stuff might see something that could help me out. I don't know cars but I know Honda CB750s if anyone needs any advice there!
Adding a link to a video of the sound at low speed, just kind of creeping forward in traffic.
