Hey, so I did the same and picked up the pad - no benefit. If your car has a non-OEM windshield it may be missing a piece of foam for in between the dashboard and windshield - or maybe it just isn't sufficient. I picked up a $2 piece of pipe insulation and cut it so it was a half circle and pushed that into the gap...it is crazy how quiet the vehicle is now. You can get it to look relatively decent.
