  1. OK so i'm missing whatever piece goes in the driver's side kickpanel, it would basically cover all those wires that are going from the firewall to the rear of the vehicle. Not sure if i'm describing it well enough but if you're sitting in the car and moved your left foot all the way to the left till it hit the side of the footwell, that's where it would go. Not sure what to call it so i can't search it on fordparts, and browsing there hasn't turned up anything that looks like it.

    any help?

Its called a scuff plate ,what color are you in need of

  2. Bought some of the Hexis Carbon Fiber wrap from Headlight armor. Gotta tell ya, this is the best looking fake carbon fiber i have EVER seen. It's looks 99% real. Textured even! Reflects like CF too. Anyways, i was alittle intimidated about putting it on,.. didn't want to mess it up and have wasted my money. Watched a few youtube videos on it, and was even more impressed with this stuff. It really is amazing. And i LOVE CF. Heck when i was done i even wrapped my Spy sunglesses! Anyways,.. here are the pics. I am VERY pleased with the end result, and it gives the interior a freakin cool look,.... wel i think so anyways. Enjoy the pics

  3. Hello Last week I bought a GPS navigation radio THX from a Lincoln MKX 2008. I installed on my 2007 Ford Edge, everything works but the sound will not go down or up .... There is always the same level. sound boxes back does not work either!

You have to get it reprogramed at the dealership, others have done it

do a search on the forum

  4. I bought a set of Peak Universal 11" x 19" Carbon Fiber Dual Temp Seat Heater kits online. I installed the switches on the top of the center console just behind the shifter. I drilled the holes using a forstner bit for perfect circles. I can take photos if interested.......

It took about 4 hours to install both front seats. They work great and get hot faster than my other vehicles stock units.

Can you post some pics. Thanks

  5. I assume he's a Ford employee so why would he do that? And even if he was willing to give you the software and you could buy the SD card on ebay, it still won't work because the SD card has to be married to the software.

You would be WRONG again,SD cards are not married to the software.Where do you get this WRONG info.

The dealership I go to uses 1 SD card for test drives

  6. Assuming it was possible to add the nav to those vehicles without that option included at purchase, it would be nice if he could help with unlocking the software so I could go to my dealer and buy the nav SD card. A lot of what-ifs, I know. I just appreciate Mike helping out those who had the lighting issue.

I would give him 100.00 for the programing and you can probably find the SD cards on Ebay .

  7. So there is NO factory harness in the door you are saying or you just guessing?

Not a guess a fact ,If you have non heated mirrors you would have a 4pin and if you had heated mirrors and seat memory puddle lamps you would have an 8 or 11 pin.

You can check by pulling off the sail on the door and unplug the mirror

  8. I was wondering the same thing. I've got a 11 and heated mirrors are a must here in the pacific NW. I converted my mazda by chaging to glass and tapping into the body wiring harness (which was per wired for heated mirrors). It took all of about 15 min per side.

Anybody know is this an options

It can be done you need to now how to remove door panels, run wires through the door harness and get the heated mirrors and put in relays

  9. OK, here's one out of the blue. New 2011 Edge LTD. I go out to it yesterday morning and the parking lights are on, who knows for how long but it started just fine. This morning I go out and the tailgate is up, again who knows for how long. Any ideas out there?

Doyou have the I A key or a key fob

  10. I have a used Edge and the seat belts are dirty and picked, which leaves a very rough feel. If they were just dirty I could have them cleaned. The dealers says the small holes and picks to the fabric were caused by the previous owner. They don't present a safety concern.

Any know if the seat belts are an easy DIY replacement? Any special precautions with the pretensioner connection? Seems simple to pop the trim and unbolt them but do not want to trigger a airbag fault code.

What year Edge is it ,it's very easy to replace belts

  11. I've got an '07 Edge SEL with basic 4 speaker sound. I'm installing an aftermarket headunit and was wondering about the three plugs of wires that are plugged into the stock radio. I'm using the Scosche harness which is the FD23B. I know that the large plug is the main one which plugs into the Scosche but what about the other two. I think one is for aux input but not sure about the other. Can I just leave those two plugs not plugged into anything? Thanks for the help

One would be for the steering controls

  12. Yes but those would be nice as well. The wiring should be in place as all models use the same wiring harness pretty much. So when and if I add in the LEDs to the front of the Edge should not be a problem.

You would be wrong ,they have diffrent harnesses for diffrent options .They don't the use same looms for all the Edges

  13. This is exactly what I was thinking. I think my dealer's service guy just doesn't know too much about this. I assured him the limiteds have homelink in the visor. He told me to get him the VIN of an edge that has the homelink in the visor, and he'll order the part as if it were for that edge. So I searched the inventory of another dealer and gave him the VIN of some random edge limited. Hopefully this works. :stats:

It's simply a plug and play, the homelink gets power from the mirror
