I've driven 3 MKXs and am driving one Edge at the moment (all used):
- Two 2010 MKXs FWD w/ 20" wheels and a touchscreen (Ford at the time had all its lineup sold with aftermarket screens just for the Middle East market), Bought one in 2017 and the other in 2018, and then sold them both in 2023.
- A 2014 MKX FWD
- A 2018 Edge Titanium 2.0L
As much as I surprisingly love those mid-size crossovers, I also criticize them so much that I swear at the engineers who were responsible for those cars š, and I can list a lot of cons of those cars, but let's keep it short. The two things I hated the most about the first-gen MKX are high body roll and no "OIL CHANGE REQUIRED", "OIL LIFE XX%" (pre-facelift MKX only). As for my current Edge, I am absolutely disappointed with the turbo 4-cylinder engine. Fuel economy is a disaster, and the turbo lag is so noticeable (I guess it was neither "eco" nor "boost" haha)
