Know any reputable mechanics in the southeast? I've had this vehicle at a Ford Dealership for months and roughly 5 different mechanics at 5 different shops. None of them can figure it out, they all dial in on the purge valve, replace it and the next day it still happens. I'll ask for the exact codes on the most recent scan but it appears I have the 1 Ford Edge that no mechanic on this earth can diagnose properly. I love the models but after this I don't think I'll ever buy another one. When the dealership kept it for 6 months and still couldn't find the issue, that was enough to scare me away from another Ford. Just figured id give it one last go before I have it crushed.

Never did get this fixed. Still trying different mechanics. The car will drive fine then the CEL comes on, then goes off, then when it comes back ona 2nd time during the same drive thats when the problem starts. The engine will slowly die if i dont give it gas. Canister/Vent, purge valve assembly, oil pressure switch, etc have all been replaced multiple times. Havent met one person that could figure this out. Purge valve assembly was an OEM Ford part, didnt fix it. After years of trying, i think its time to junk it and at least get $500 for it. Cant believe nobody could ever diagnose the problem.
